Xhaka to start vs England

Granit Xhaka is expected to start against England on Saturday – despite struggling with an adductor problem.

The Switzerland captain was a doubt ahead of their Euros quarter final with the Three Lions in Dusseldorf after having a scan on the issue on Monday morning.

Former Arsenal midfielder Xhaka, 31, had treatment on the pitch during their 2-0 last 16 victory over Italy last week but was able to carry on.

However, those concerns have been put aside for now, despite the Swiss national team confirming he would be doing individual work today away from the squad.

It is understood that this is precautionary and Xhaka will return to full training with his teammates at their base in Stuttgart in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Mesut Ozil transformation

Arsenal legend Mesut Ozil has been tipped to join the WWE after showing off his insane 12-month body transformation.

Ozil retired from professional football aged 34 in March 2023 after a short spell with Istanbul Basaksehir.

The former playmaker has since been a regular in the gym, often updating fans with his progress.

The German’s latest upload has wowed fans once again as he lifted up his top to show his ripped six-pack.

Ozil smiled for the camera as he posed in the gym, captioning the post: “1 year very hard work.”

Viktor Gykores update

Sporting Lisbon are not going to back down on their £85million asking price for Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres.

However, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano hinted the release clause could go down if a deal isn’t reached before August.

For Viktor Gyokeres, Sporting still want the release clause, they want a package of €100million (£85m).

This is an expensive deal and this is why Arsenal have shown interest in recent months, but at the moment, are still not advancing.

We know that sometimes, in the market, the price can change. In June, you have a price and then in July, in August, it can change.

Raya set for permanent deal

Arsenal are set to announce they have activated their buy option for David Raya.

Raya joined the Gunners on loan last season from Brentford with an option to buy for £27million.

And after stealing Aaron Ramsdale’s starting spot, the goalkeeper will now be made a permanent addition to Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arteta is very big on the Spain international, mainly because of his footwork.

Nico Williams blow

Athletico Bilbao star Nico Williams is “crazy” about joining Barcelona this summer.

Williams, who has set Euro 2024 alight with Spain, has been linked with Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

According to Sport and MD, however, the winger prefers a move to Barca.

The 21-year-old’s connection with Blaugrana stars Pedri and Lamine Yamal has worked as a boost for Hansi Flick’s side.

Chelsea, who are also interested, have been told the Spaniard wants to play for the Catalan giants this coming season.

Rashford ‘set for future talks’

Manchester United have not ruled out the possibility of allowing Marcus Rashford to leave the club, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Rashford is set to return to Carrington for pre-season training next week and could reportedly hold talks with new sporting director Dan Ashworth over his future.

Doubt over Rashford’s future is reportedly coming amid changes to his representation with his brother, Dwaine Maynard, discussing the potential of managing the England star.

PSG are said to be one club who would be keen to sign the 26-year-old, who understood to be valued around £80m.

While reports elsewhere have suggested that Arsenal could be interested in Rashford.
