Welcome to Portugal vs Slovenia

Portugal face Slovenia in the Frankfurt Arena with a point to prove after being well beaten in their final group game by Georgia.

Rafael Leao will once again be available this evening and should return to the starting line-up after missing the last game as a result of picking up two yellow cards both for diving.

Five Portuguese players run the risk of missing the quarter-finals if they pick up a yellow card tonight so Ronaldo, Francisco Conceicao, Joao Palhinha, Pedro Neto and Ruben Neves will all have to be careful.

Slovenia would be without Jaka Bijol, Zan Celar, Petar Stojanovic or Zan Vipotnik for the next round should any of the quartet pick up a yellow card tonight.

They will be needing Andraz Sporar and Benjamin Sesko to lead the forward line this evening, having started all three games so far, but neither player has managed to register a goal as yet.

Jan Oblak will be the rock at the heart of the Slovenian defence looking to deny Portugal and will reunite with some familiar faces, having spent a season at Benfica in 2010.

Matjaz Kek is likely to stick with his no-nonsense 4-4-2 formation with Timi Max Elsnik and Adam Gnezda Cerin running the centre of the midfield engine room.

The only likely change is Jure Balkovec coming in for the suspended Erik Janza at left-back, although Tomi Horvat has returned to Germany after the birth of his daughter.
