Occasional Digest - a story for you

YESTERDAY England managed to secure their spot in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 after a dramatic 2-1 win against Slovakia.

But as fans all over the nation are praising the team, especially captain Harry Kane and the rising star Jude Bellingham who saved the Three Lions, there’s one person more happy than others.

The footy super fan, known only as JP, decided to show his support in a rather extreme way, opting for a dodgy St George’s Cross into his hair amid hopes of success at the Euros 2024.

Before the eagerly-awaited tournament held in Germany, the sports enthusiast gave his decent head of hair a shoddy cut, as his mates assisted him in shaving a DIY cross into the top of his head with an electric clipper.

The video, shared on JP’s profile, @itsmejtothep, also showed the football fanatic addressing the camera, replying to a comment from a previous clip which suggested he went for an England flag inspired trim.

However, JP didn’t stop there, as he later revealed he had also had his hair dyed both hot red in the middle and white around the cross.

The England super fan had achieved this with car spray paint and claimed that ”everyone” had asked him to do it.

Clearly all chuffed with the Euros-themed hair transformation, JP posted the end result on TikTok, insisting he was now looking ”reem” like Joey Essex.

Reem, loyal fans of the Love Island‘s Romeo will know, is Joey’s very own song – and yes, it’s even got a music video.

As explained by the TOWIE legend, 33, himself, ”reem” basically means good and if you were at school when the sing came out in 2011, chances are you’ve come across groups of young lads using it in their vocubulary.

”Oy, my hair is looking reem,” JP said in the now-viral video, before showing off his new hairdo, as well as his best dance moves on the street – all whilst appearing to be missing shoes on his feet.

However, whilst the football fan was definitely pleased with the makeover, it appeared that the reaction was slightly different online where people were left totally divided.

Moment dejected England fans race BACK into Euros stadium after missing Bellingham’s wondergoal & shout ‘back in we go!’

Close to a whopping 2,000 social media users flocked to comments to share their thoughts and verdict on the shoddy haircut, calling JP a ”proper Brit”.

One person said: ”True England fan for you there.”

”That’s well reem,” someone else agreed with JP, whom fellow fans can catch out and about in Blackpool.

Meanwhile, a third footy enthusiast was inspired to get a similar haircut, with the national team winning the important match against Slovakia.

”Me now that England are in the quarter finals.”

But unfortunately for JP, the Euros-inspired hairdo wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea, as they were left in hysterics.

”I can’t cope,” another couldn’t get over the spray painted locks.

”There’s a lot to unpack here,” someone else reckoned.

”Anything would look better than what it was,” a person cried out in horror.
