DELTA, British Columbia, June 27, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — WestBond Enterprises Corporation (TSX-V: WBE) has posted a loss of $210,683 for the year ended March 31, 2024 ($574,550 profit for the year ended March 31, 2023). Sales decreased 16.9% to $9,219,948 this year compared to $11,089,793 for the year ended March 31, 2023.
The decrease in revenue and profit is the result of orders not being shipped due to a shortage of warehouse and shipping personnel. The company has subsequently hired additional production staff and materials handling personnel to reduce or eliminate this bottleneck.
Sales continue to grow in all converted product categories and revenues are expected to increase. Several new markets in the US and Canada have been established in the food service industry. The company continues to focus on this market segment and staffing to ensure timely shipping of its products.
The annual report and other information is available on the company’s website at www.westbond.ca and on SEDAR at www.sedar.com.
