The mum-of-two explained that she had been on TikTok for over three years and was part of the creator fund which meant she got paid for videos that performed well on the app.

Zoe revealed exactly why she was asking strangers to help her get some extra cash.

“My plan actually is to use TikTok to pay for a family holiday this year,” she explained.

“Now, I’m not exactly talking about the Maldives, I don’t want anything fancy.

“I’m talking Butlins. Ha!

“I just wanna take the girls to Butlins.”

Zoe was looking to make £600 in total to pay for the holiday using the creator fund so filmed a one minute long video of her cleaning her kitchen.

TikTok bosses say: “The funds that each creator can earn are worked out by a combination of factors; including the number of views and the authenticity of those views, the level of engagement on the content, as well as making sure content is in line with our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.

“No two creators or videos are the same, and there is no limit to the different kinds of content we will support with the fund.

“The Creator Fund total varies daily and is dependent on the amount of videos published by our community that day – so this will fluctuate based on the amount of content being published.”
