Pilots are about to begin ‘work to rule’ action as part of a pay dispute.
This is expected to kick in from midnight next Wednesday.

Work to rule would see pilots declining to work on days off and refusing overtime.
It comes at the busiest time of year for the airline.
The Aer Lingus summer schedule has a capacity of about 40,000 passengers per day.
The work to rule action is ‘indefinite.’
In a second ballot at the weekend, pilots voted for all-out strike action which could still lead to one day stoppages.
Pilots are seeking almost 24% pay increases. The airline has so far offered just over half of that.
“We are in this position because management have failed to provide us with a meaningful offer on pay that accounts for inflation and sacrifices made to save Aer Lingus during the pandemic,” said IALPA president Captain Mark Tighe.
“Management keep insisting that pilots must sell their working conditions in exchange for any increase in pay. We are absolutely not prepared to do that.”
