“Use it for overhead storage!”

The creator shared clips of the bread bin drilled upside down into part of the van and opened it to show it held things perfectly well.

“Overhead storage idea [alarm emoji],” they penned.

They continued: “I didn’t want anything big, or bulky, or expensive so this IKEA was the perfect size and price!”

Underneath, one user wrote their disbelief at the hack: “Oh my gosh, you have just solved all my problems [star eyes emoji].”

The bread bin used in the video is from the Swedish retailer and costs £19.

We found some dupes and some in a similar price range.

One such dupe is from Tesco for £15 though it’s currently out of stock.

Another comes from The Range, which retails for £19.99.

The bread bin is described as “a space-saving roll-top design [and is] naturally antibacterial and eco-friendly.”

Online homeware retailer Roov currently has a wooden bread bin on sale for £12.99, down from £27.99.

They say: “Featuring a roll-top lid with wooden handle to smoothly slide open.

“Crafted with natural bamboo, it’s eco-friendly.

“We’ve designed the bread bin with a flat surface on its top side which adds additional space by providing a shelf to store things on.

“It’s a great space for keeping decorative accessories like plants.”

Out of 30 reviews, the IKEA product has an overall rating of 4.3.

One reviewer said: “Very good quality and looks stylish.”

Another penned: “Really good buy. Just the right size and fits well with the deco.”

A third wrote: “Takes up very little space, fits nicely on top of the microwave, and we can fit in so much in there. I love it!”

Some have noted it will often close by itself however with “an unexpectedly loud bang.

However, one reviewer suggested using felt around where the door closes would help with the noise.
