Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo is the current president of Equatorial Guinea. He was born on June 5th 1942.
He has been the political leader of Equatorial Guinea since 1979 after he ousted the dictator Francisco Macias Nguema, who was his uncle.
Obiang is the longest-serving leader in Africa and the longest-serving president in the world.
