Viewers took to an online BGT forum to voice their concerns.
Fans think that the golden buzzer should be either scrapped completely or significantly limited.
The golden buzzer grants an act an automatic spot in the live semi-finals but fans have become infuriated with its overuse.
Around nine golden buzzers have been used this year contrary to BGT’s usual one-per-person limit.
On the forum, one user wrote: “Retire the golden buzzer, it has jumped the shark, too many given out and the audience baiting the judges to press it is just ugly.”

And another replied: “Totally agree and I forgot to say that about the golden buzzers too. When the golden buzzers were first introduced I didn’t really like them, but as they’re here to stay I really don’t like the judges having more than one of them.”
“Keep the Golden buzzers to 1 each, 5 max. Enough of the endless golden buzzers. It takes away the momentum and the actual point of a golden buzzer,” penned a third.
Other fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to add to the golden buzzer debate, with one user writing: “At this point they need to scrap the Golden Buzzer next year. It was initially brought in for those special acts who’s audition stood out.
“Now since Bruno arrived the Golden Buzzer is given to anyone like sweets That’s not how the Golden Buzzer works.”
Another wrote: “Nah sorry this golden buzzer stuff is getting so contrived now, it was funny when Bruno first did it, but at this rate there’ll be no live show space left for non golden buzzer acts.”
“They need to remove the abysmal golden buzzer,” penned a third.
Sydnie scooped the crown during the variety show’s finale on Sunday night.
She wowed the audience and viewers at home with her performance of Somewhere Over The Rainbow by Annie, the audition song that prompted Amanda Holden to slam her golden buzzer several months ago.
However, after Ant and Dec crowned her the winner, Sydnie was hit with fix claims by BGT viewers.
Despite winning with 27% of the vote, fans soon pulled apart the show – including its running order, and the events leading up to it such as Sydnie receiving the golden buzzer earlier on.
