LUKE LITTLER is currently making his American debut as he battles at Madison Square Garden for the US Darts Masters.

Fresh off winning the Premier League Darts – which saw him take home a £275,000 prize – Littler and the top players in the sport will travel Stateside for the chance to win again.

US Darts Masters schedule, fixtures and results

The early rounds of the tournament will be played on Friday, May 31 and the latter stages on Saturday, June 1.

These are the top eight seeds for the tournament:

  1. Michael van Gerwen
  2. Luke Littler
  3. Gerwyn Price
  4. Luke Humphries
  5. Michael Smith
  6. Nathan Aspinall
  7. Rob Cross
  8. Peter Wright

That is the same eight as played in the Premier League Darts, although the seeding is not reflected in performance during that competition.

Who is playing in the US Darts Masters?

As mentioned above, the same eight players from the Premier League – Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler, Gerwyn Price, Luke Humphries, Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Rob Cross and Peter Wright – will travel to the US.

American players Matt Campbell, Jules van Dongen, Danny Lauby and Stowe Buntz will also compete.

Another four players from the Championship Darts Corporation (CDC) will also compete – three qualifiers and a cross-border champion.

They too will be announced closer to the start of the tournament.

How can I watch the US Darts Masters?

  • The tournament will be aired both in the US and UK with three sessions.
  • Coverage is based on the US timezone, so UK fans should note the evening sessions start at midnight.
  • In the UK, fans can catch the Saturday coverage on ITV Sport – last year it started on ITV4 for the first two sessions before moving to ITV3 for the final session.
  • US fans can watch it on DAZN.
  • Those who have a PDC.TV subscription, which costs £49.99 annually, can stream it on the website.
  • Alternatively, follow our SunSport LIVE darts blog for all the action as it happens.

What is the prize money?

The competition has a total prize pool of £60,000 and the breakdown is as follows:

  • Winner: £20,000
  • Runner-up: £10,000
  • Semi finalists: £5,000
  • Quarter finalists: £2,500
  • Last 16: £1,250
  • Tonight’s action underway now

    Peter Wright is taking on Alex Spellman in this evening’s first match.

    American Spellman, 35, will be hoping to shock struggling Wright.

    The Scot threw first in the first-to-six-legs opening-round clash.
