The Troublemaker singer has been estranged from his twin brother Ben after they had an epic fall out during Olly’s time on the ITV contest The X Factor.
In a new interview, new dad Olly had admitted that he has battled with “loneliness” in the wake of his family fallout.
He opened up during the candid chat where he referenced his issues with twin Ben in a rare moment.
Speaking to The Times, Olly told the publication: “When you’ve been in the womb with someone, you struggle with loneliness.
“I had to deal with it when my twin and I went on our separate lives.
“I was desperate to be around people, could not sit in a room alone.”
Olly and Ben fell out when in his quest for stardom, Olly opted to skip his brother’s wedding in order to perform for a spot in the final of The X Factor during the semi-final knockout week.
Although he failed to indicate whether he would eventually reconnect with Ben, Olly admitted this his continued focus was going toward being the best dad to his newborn child.
Earlier this year, he became a first-time father when partner Amelia Tank welcomed baby Madi.
He added to The Times: “My aim in life is to be a great husband and father — that’s where my future lies.
“I’d love my career to continue as it is, but when you get married and become a dad, you just want to be the best for them.”
Olly was last questioned on the rift by Lorraine Kelly on 2018 as she quizzed him on if he could ever see himself making ammends with Ben.
The Singer told the breakfast TV star: “I hope so, of course, it’s mad because every year I think about it, (will it be) nine years, 10 years.
“I did text him for his birthday but he changed his number. Christmas has never been the same.”
