A CONFIDENT mom has shared that she’s not worried about giving her daughter a unique name.

The reason, she explained, is that she’s sure her daughter will become a business owner.

Redditor Significant_Art2011 shared the unusual baby name in a viral post.

“[A] woman on Instagram named her daughter Lemon,” they said.

Though people on Instagram were horrified by the fruit-themed name, the mom was undeterred.

“People asked in the comments if she was joking/it was a pseudo-name — it’s not,” they said.

“She’s also calling her daughter a baby influencer! So there’s that.”

A worried commenter expressed their concerns to the mom directly.

“Imagine your daughter coming to a corporate job interview in an expensive suit only to introduce herself as f**king Lemon,” they said.

The mom, however, wasn’t put in a sour mood by their comment.

“Lemon won’t have to worry about being hired because she’s going to be a strong, independent woman who has all of you as her elite employees,” she replied.

Critics of the unique name, however, disagreed with the mom’s sentiments.

Viral Baby Name Sparks Online Debate

Many didn’t subscribe to the mother’s beliefs.

“This mom is delusional if she thinks her kid will never have to be hired anywhere,” said one commenter.

“This assumption is more wild than the name choice honestly,” said another.

Some felt that the baby would grow up with a grudge against her mom.

“I’m not a bitter guy but I would be so sour if I was named Lemon,” said one commenter.

Many agreed that even including celebrities who named their children after foods, Lemon was a bad choice.

“Yeah, even Apple (Gwyneth Paltrow’s kid) is a better name than Lemon,” said one commenter.

“Drew Barrymore’s daughter is ‘Olive,'” added another.

“Both that and Apple are better names than Lemon, which is synonymous with broken, sour, etc.”

One viewer predicted that the baby would grow up to resent a common figure of speech.

“I hope she never comes across the saying ‘If life gives you lemons…'” they joked.

“She’ll discover that her mom secretly hates her.”
