Occasional Digest - a story for you

An 18-year-old man has faced the ACT Magistrates Court after allegedly taking part in a violent home invasion in Canberra earlier this month where two residents were stabbed several times.

Police will allege Lytrell Eneliko pushed his way inside a Conder home about 8am on Saturday, May 4 after a woman answered the door.

They allege Mr Eneliko stabbed her several times before he and three other unidentified men assaulted the male occupant, who was also left with stab wounds.

It is alleged the group then fled the scene.

Both victims were transported to hospital with significant injuries.

Investigations into the identities of the other men involved in the incident are continuing, ACT Policing said.

Mr Eneliko was arrested yesterday in Western Sydney and was extradited to face court in the ACT today.

He is facing charges of aggravated burglary, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally inflict grievous bodily harm and possess an offensive weapon with intent.

During a brief court appearance today, Mr Eneliko did not apply for bail and has been remanded in custody.

He did not speak and did not enter any pleas.

However, he did smile and wave to a woman in the court room.

The case will return to court next month.
