A woman has been arrested after a man was allegedly stabbed and killed in a home in Matraville in Sydney’s eastern beaches. 

At around 6:15pm on Tuesday, emergency services responded to a report of an incident at a home on Murrabin Avenue in Matraville. 

Paramedics treated the man at the scene but he died of his injuries. 

A woman who was nearby was arrested and is assisting police with their investigation. 

Police would not confirm if the man and woman were known to each other. 

A crime scene was established and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
