Angels Advocate was initially planned to be released alongside Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel in 2010, however, sadly it never materialised.
But ever since fans have been desperate to hear the tracks.
Speaking in a new interview with Variety, Mariah was grilled about the material, and she played coy about when and if the music will ever be released.
“Oh wow… You might have me on this one,” she laughed.
“That is so funny, because people have asked me about that recently. That’s interesting.
“I don’t have any current plans to release those songs, but I think they’re worthy of it.”
While Mariah is best known as a pop singer, she has never been afraid to experiment – even at one point secretly releasing a grunge album under a different name.
Hiding behind the moniker ‘Chick’, Mariah quietly dropped Someone’s Ugly Daughter back in 1995 – recording it at the height of her fame and at the same time as her fifth album Daydream, which features iconic hits Always Be My Baby and Fantasy.
Angel’s Advocate is a remix album, featuring a new version of So So Def Remix of H.A.T.E.U., featuring Big Boi, Gucci Mane & OJ da Juiceman.
When asked if we’ll ever at least get that one track, Mariah told the magazine: “I love the H.A.T.E. U remix. I will look into it. I really will.”
The push for her hidden music to come to the surface comes as part of the latest episode of Audible’s ‘Words + Music’ series.
As part of the series Mariah released a new Hopeful Child remix of her 2018 song Portrait, which is 16minutes in length.
She’s also revisiting other songs from her discography – including the title track to her album Rainbow, which turns 25 this year, after never finishing it.
The star promised the finished piece will come out this year, as well as “other material” she kept quiet good.
