Who is Joe Swift?
Joe Swift was born on May 25, 1965 in Newcastle upon Tyne.
He is an English garden designer, TV presenter and journalist.
His father Clive Swift is an actor who appeared on Keeping Up Appearances and his mum Margaret Drabble is a novelist.
Clive Swift is the nephew of actor David Swift.
His brother Adam is an academic, and his sister Rebecca was a poet and founder of the Literary Consultancy.
She died in April 2017.
How did Joe Swift get into garden designing?
Joe attended Art College then later decided to travel and work abroad.
He began landscaping in North London, before taking his skills overseas to Sydney and Melbourne.
He then studied garden design at The English Gardening School and launched his very own landscaping company.
What TV shows does Joe Swift present?
Joe is best known for presenting Gardeners’ World on BBC2 alongside lead host Monty Don since 1998.
He has also provided coverage from RHS Tatton Park Flower Show, BBC’s Small Town Gardens and Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
Joe also presents coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show on the BBC.
Joe is also co-founder and design director of Modular Garden, which is a garden design and build company.
