Now, Robinson has confirmed they are, telling Saga magazine: “Yes. Full stop. Mind your own business.”

The interview comes as Robinson is announced as the publication’s new agony aunt, a role she will take on from their June issue.

Speaking about returning to the dating pool in her seventies, after being single for more than a decade, she told Saga: “I’d been out of the game for so long.

“And also I don’t drink. If you don’t drink, you’re not as reckless are you?

“I’m a great believer in surprising yourself by taking risks. Personally and professionally. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

“If the worst that can happen is you get some egg on your face, that’s not terrible is it?”

Robinson became known for delivering cutting remarks to contestants and her catchphrase “you are the weakest link, goodbye” when she presented the quiz show, which was first broadcast in 2000 before ending 12 years later.

Who are Anne Robinson’s ex husbands and who has she dated?

Anne Robinson gained a huge legion of fans as the sharp tongued host of the Weakest Link.

But behind closed doors, the veteran TV host has enjoyed an interesting love-life which includes two ex-husbands.

Charles Wilson

Anne Robinson has been married twice, with her first husband being Charles Wilson.

The pair met when she worked for the Daily Mail, and he was her boss at the time.

After falling in love, the couple married in 1968.

Anne had to leave the Daily Mail because, at the time, married couples weren’t allowed to work together.

The pair were wed for five years years before divorcing in 1973.

John Penrose

Following the breakdown of her marriage to Charles, Anne began to date John Penrose, a fellow reporter.

The pair were married from 1980, before divorcing in 2008.

At the time of their split, Anne was one of the most recognisable faces on British TV and had racked up a huge fortune of around £60M.

When they divorced, she had to pay John £20M.

Anne was, however, allowed to keep her impressive property portfolio – which included a London townhouse, a penthouse in New York, a Long Island mansion and a cottage in Gloucestershire.

Despite the break-up, the former couple have remained good friends.

Who has Anne Robinson dated?

Following her divorce from John, Anne has liked to keep her private life out of the spotlight.

However, she previously opened up to The Sun about finding love again, and how she didn’t “get on” with dating apps.

She told us in 2017: “I wouldn’t date any of the men on Tinder. I deleted it and wouldn’t even know how to get the account back.

“I don’t want to date someone bald and with a moustache. It is slim pickings out there! I would rename Tinder ‘desperate’.”‘

However, Anne added that she still enjoys an active sex life, and revealed: “I hope all women my age are having sex, why wouldn’t they be? It’s what keeps me young.”

On why dating can be easier in older age, she said: “You’re much more selective about what you’re going to get into a tizz about.

“Nothing matters that much. You’re not going to change.”

Robinson previously hosted Channel 4 quiz show Countdown, becoming its sixth presenter and the first female to take the role, before stepping down in 2022 having recorded 265 episodes of the show.

She was previously married to the late Charles Wilson, a former journalist and newspaper executive, until 1973 and got from divorced her second husband, John Penrose, in 2007.

Parker Bowles married Camilla in 1973 and they had two children together, Tom and Laura, before divorcing in 1995.

The Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles

The King, who was divorced from Diana, Princess of Wales in 1996, wed Camilla in April 2005 at the Guildhall in Windsor.

Parker Bowles and the Queen have remained friends, with the former army officer among the select guest list for the King’s coronation.

The interview is in June’s issue of Saga magazine.
