Police launched a murder investigation and discovered boyfriend Luke Cannon hanged near the hospital hours later.

Coroner Martin Fleming concluded Georgia’s death in February 2022 was the result of unlawful killing, Yorkshire Live reported.

He described the horror as a “sex game that went wrong” – warning such sexual practices were “dangerous and reckless”.

The coroner said Georgia had been manually strangled by Luke, which was assault as she “could not have consented to the fatal consequences”.

He also confirmed there was no evidence Luke, who called 999, had intended to kill his partner.

Georgia’s cause of death was given as forceful and prolonged compression of the neck.

Toxicology reports also found high levels of party drug GHB in her system.

The inquest was told police found Georgia had a sexual interest in “choking”.

Officers told the court her behaviour had been influenced by Luke – although texts between the couple suggested she had consented.

Mr Fleming described Georgia as a much-loved sister and daughter, as well as a talented dancer and dance teacher.

He added: “She was a young woman with a bright future ahead of her.”

Paying tribute after the inquest, Georgia’s mum Samantha and sister Nadia described the past two years as “horrific”.

They added: “Georgia we love you. Keep dancing with the angels.”
