Peter Nicholson, from Scunthorpe, called his stunned wife, Deborah, to share news of his success.

He told her: “This is absolutely fantastic, but it doesn’t do my heart any good. I’ve got palpitations and can’t believe I’ve won.
“I wasn’t expecting that kind of money.”
But, despite his newfound riches, Peter hasn’t got any plans for elaborate spending.
“There are a few mundane things, like getting the drive done.
“But we’ll definitely have a holiday. We’ve been to the east coast of Canada before, but we might go to Calgary on the west coast now,” he said.
Deborah, 67, added: “This is a shock…brilliant. We’ll do the driveway and definitely go on holiday for two weeks.”
It comes as fellow Scunthorpe resident Ann Sheardown, 64, burst into tears after bagging almost £182,000.
She brought traffic to a halt by leading the other local winners in a celebration Congo.
The occupational therapist assistant said: “This is life-changing for me, very much so.
“I think the most I’ve won before was £17 at my mum’s bingo. I’ve got a lot of thinking to do, but I’ve got a nice retirement in front of me now.”
Ann and eight lucky neighbours landed bumper windfalls after DN15 8DL won the Postcode Lottery’s weekly Millionaire Street prize, on Saturday May 4.
Every ticket was worth £90,909, but Ann and another player each banked £181,818 with two tickets.
“I feel sick,” said Ann. “I don’t know what to do with myself. I don’t know what to say. This is absolutely amazing. My watch heart monitor is at 113bpm.”
