People weren’t expecting an update and were more than a little surprised when they were kicked out of the game.
If you are wondering what has happened to Fortnite or when you can dive back in we’ve got you covered.
Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite’s latest downtime.
Why is Fortnite down?
While the downtime has come as a bit of a shock to players, this isn’t a server problem or any form of error.
Despite the very short notice this is scheduled downtime, and there will be an update and patch when it comes back online.
It’s actually a fairly big update labelled v29.40, and will come with a number of new items for players.
When will Fortnite come back online?
Fortnite downtime is never predictable, and it can take anywhere from one hour to ten.
However, judging by the size of the update we expect the game to come back online around 1pm UK time.
Again this is an estimate, and it could be longer or shorter than this.
What is coming in Fortnite V29.40?
The latest Fortnite update is bringing in a number of Star Wars-themed items to celebrate May 4, otherwise known as Star Wars day.
This will include a number of Star Wars-themed items and costumes that will be added to the item shop.
