The Australian music industry has suffered another damaging blow after the cancellation of a major event on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

Organisers of the Caloundra Music Festival announced on Tuesday morning that the event would not go ahead this year.

The festival typically attracts more than 30,000 patrons and generates about $3 million for the local economy.
