The ex-Little Mix singer is set to star in new Netflix series Bear Hunt, hosted by Holly Willoughby and Bear Grylls.
Filming starts next month on location in Costa Rica, which is nice work if you can get it.
I’m told: “Casting agents have approached Jesy to see if she would be interested and have deep pockets to ensure it’s worth her time financially. She has a huge fanbase and the reality challenge series would be the perfect comeback for her.
“Filming takes place for a few weeks so she won’t even be away from home and her creature comforts for too long.
“Jesy will be incredible.”
The big budget show sees celebs learn survival skills and take part in challenges, trained by survival expert Bear.
Apart from a brief stint on Great Celebrity Bake Off last year, where she got ribbed for trying to knead cake mix with long talons, Jesy has enjoyed time away from the limelight.
In a message to her fans on Instagram last summer she wrote: “Hey guys! So for a long time I’ve really wanted to go travelling but never had the time to do it.
“I’ve got some really exciting things coming up with work and my music, but until then I’m gonna take the summer off to travel the world.
“I’m going to be off my social media, I love you all so much and I’ll see you when I’m back.”
Jesy reached No4 in the charts with her debut solo single Boyz in 2021.
She then split from her record label, and follow-up single Bad Thing failed to strike a chord with fans.
I think she’ll be fab down in the jungle, just as long as she cuts her fingernails . . .
Shakira fires up festival
SHAKIRA gave fans a treat at Coachella music festival on Friday night with a surprise performance dressed for the sweltering heat in a fiery crochet number.
The Colombian pop star stunned the crowd as she rose from a platform during the set of Argentinian DJ Bizarrap to perform their new track, La Fuerte.
She used the opportunity to announce a world tour kicking off in November.
The celeb haven, set over two weekends in the Californian desert, attracted the usual gaggle of starlets.
Saltburn’s Barry Keoghan supported girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter’s cheeky set.
While Megan Fox showcased her new blue hair and hot pants.
Suki Waterhouse, who recently became a mum, also revealed she had given birth to a baby girl with actor Robert Pattinson.
I hear Maya Jama was partying backstage with pals to Peggy Gou’s dance set too.
It certainly beats trudging around Glastonbury in wellies . . .
Chemistry is grand for Chris and Dani
I HEAR ex-EastEnder Danielle Harold and Love Islander-turned-horseracing pundit Chris Hughes have grown close.
The pair were seen flirting at the Pretty Little Thing bash at the fashion brand’s HQ in London on Thursday night, with Chris protectively putting his arm around her when it got busy at one point.
An insider tells me: “They’ve really hit it off and have enjoyed sharing experiences of the showbiz industry.
“They’re both still getting to know each other and Chris has been busy this weekend covering the Grand National, but they’re keeping in touch as there’s a lot of chemistry.”
Chris, who has previously dated Olivia Attwood and Jesy Nelson, has been single since splitting with ex girlfriend professional golfer Annabel Dimmock two years ago.
It seems like he’s on to a winner . . .
Lucinda lucky in love
SHE struggled to find lasting romance on Love Island, but I can reveal Lucinda Strafford has caught the eye of Brit DJ Nathan Dawe.
The influencer, who previously dated Irish footballer Aaron Connolly, was spotted on a romantic break in Dubai last week with the 0800 Heaven hitmaker.
The loved-up couple looked smitten at the five star Atlantis The Royal Dubai hotel, where the cheapest rooms are £400 a pop.
An onlooker who saw them on a night out at The Penthouse nightclub tells me: “Lucinda and Nathan only had eyes for each other during their romantic evening out.
“They went out to the balcony to take pictures of the view and couldn’t stop smiling, even sharing a kiss.
“Nathan’s a huge music star and his career is going from strength to strength, but it seems like Lucinda really has him smitten.”
At least he won’t have to look far for his next music video babe . . .
Georgia is still fighting
SHE’s already made one compelling ITV documentary, but I can reveal that Love Islander Georgia Harrison is filming a follow up.
The star, who bravely spoke out about her harrowing revenge-porn experience with ex Stephen Bear, is filming a second hard-hitting factual film about her recent crime hearing against him concerning the sex tape ordeal.
Georgia, who split last week from Anton Danyluk, has reunited with MultiStory Media for this new venture.
A source said: “Georgia is still fighting for justice and wants to give other victims a voice, conveying how more needs to be done to stop repeat offences.
“She knows only too well how footage can cast a financial and emotional shadow over the lives of the people targeted.”
Caught Live: REALLY GOOD TIME @ Sebright Arms, Hackney
★★★★★
THE Dublin rockers lived up to their name with a chaotic performance on Thursday.
Dressed in matching overalls, with a heavy sound self-styled as “early Pixies records and LCD Soundsystem mashed in a blender”, the four- piece brought an element of infectious fun to a breathlessly paced set.
It was immediately clear with opener The Holy Grail, their unique sound is destined to fill out arenas.
Retreat To The Cubicle, a thumping track reminiscent of early work by The Strokes, and the powerful guitar riff on their song Best Medicine were the highlights.
Silly song titles such as Mountain Of Spit show that they have their tongues firmly in their cheeks, but their refreshingly unique music, demands to be taken seriously.
Brit thinks Di can give her a hit
WHILE quietly working on new material, I can reveal Britney Spears has enlisted songwriting legend Diane Warren to pen her a ballad.
The top secret project has seen the singer call on the veteran hitmaker, who has worked with Celine Dion, Beyonce and Mariah Carey, to create a special song.
An insider tells me: “For Britney someone like Diane writing songs for the next stage of her career is amazing. They’ve worked together previously but during her pop era.
“Now it’s time for Britney to enter a new musical era. Diane loves Britney and they have been pictured together at events previously. Britney also saw that Diane has always been positive and supportive of her.”
Britney took a step back from music while fighting to free herself from her conservatorship, which gave her father Jamie power over her life.
She returned in 2022 featuring on Elton John’s song Hold Me Closer, which peaked at No3, then on WILL.I.AM’s track Mind Your Business.
I always say Gimme More, when it comes to Britney.
Caught live: JAMES BLUNT @ Royal Albert Hall, London
★★★★★
FOR a man once labelled “the most-hated person in pop music”, James Blunt deservedly felt the love on stage on Tuesday.
Always happy to poke fun at himself he quipped: “In preparation for this tour, I’ve done a few important things. I got new jeans. I got new sparkly shoes. Same old f***ing band though.”
James also teased he would only be performing tunes from latest album Who We Used To Be insisting: “It’s too late, I’ve got your money!”
After renditions of Saving A Life and All The Love That I Ever Needed, he delivered classics Goodbye My Lover, Wisemen and, of course, You’re Beautiful.
But he really hit the sweet spot with tearjerker Dark Thought, in tribute to pal Carrie Fisher.
However, James’ razor-sharp wit was never far away.
Before fan fave High, he explained why he can hit the kind of notes only dogs can hear: “My balls never dropped. Only two people can sing like this, Mariah Carey and me – we sing like dolphins.”
Come for the sad songs, stay for the laughs.
