People joked that the “embarrassing” error should qualify the parent for witness protection.
The mom (@twodachshundkings) shared her fail in a viral TikTok video.
She attempted to send out Evite guest invites for her daughter’s first birthday party.
To save herself time, she selected the “Import Contacts” option that the platform offered.
She explained that she ticked off the option, expecting the website to allow her to select contacts from her list.
Unfortunately, the mom quickly realized just how big of a mistake it was.
“It imported all 487 of my contacts and invited them to this birthday party,” she said, covering her face in shame.
The unintentional error meant that a virtual invite sat in the inbox of her boss, all of her coworkers, and every other person on her phone.
Things quickly got worse.
“It sent invitations based off of how they are stored in my phone,” she revealed.
One invite was addressed to a Derek along with the eye roll emoji she attached next to his name.
Another was sent to a “Jess hit her car in parking lot.”
The mom joked that she had very few options after the failure, which included quitting her job and getting a completely new identity.
Viewers agreed that there was very little recourse and that she deserved reparations.
“This should qualify you for witness protection,” said one commenter.
I would die if ‘Gary DO NOT ANSWER’ came.

“I think Evite owes you compensation,” said another.
Some of her viewers put themselves in her shoes and imagined how bad the damage would be if it had happened to them.
“Oh my godddd imagining all my old Tinder dates getting an Evite to my daughter’s party,” said one commenter.
“Dear Jack (Don’t pick up!!!), you’re invited!” joked another.
“I would simply melt into the ground. I have so many of these,” said a third.
“I even have ‘tall girl at church.’ No name!”
“Ohhh noooo!!! I have my neighbor stored as ‘Creep with the Jeep,'” cringed one commenter.
“I would die if ‘Gary DO NOT ANSWER’ came,” quipped another.
