Amass only signed a professional deal with the club in March upon turning 17.
The left back joined the Red Devils from Watford last summer.
He has starred for the league leading Under-18s this season.
In 14 games he has scored once and chipped in with three assists.
Amass is also an England youth international, having made five appearances for the Three Lions Under-17 side.
He has been training with the first team in recent weeks amid the clubs crippling defensive injury crisis that has left Erik ten Hag without a recognised senior left back.
That crisis has also left Ten Hag without FOUR senior centre-backs to face Liverpool.
Harry Maguire is being partnered with another Carrington graduate, 19-year-old Willy Kambwala, in the heart of defence today.
Kambwala made his first team debut for Man Utd against West Ham earlier this season, and has gone on to make four more substitute appearances for the first team in the Premier League.
This includes playing 24 minutes during the game against Chelsea.
Omari Forson, 19, is another youngster named on the bench, while Habeeb Ogunneye, 18, has also been named on the bench for the third time this season but is yet to make his debut for the Red Devils.
Should Amass or Ogunneye make their senior team bows today, they will become the 250th academy player to feature for the club.
More to follow.
