It’s led some fans to fear he’s planning his final series on the hit BBC show.

Giovanni is expected to be announced as one of the professional dancers when the series returns this autumn.

The 33-year-old will then go on his solo tour next January until May.

A source told the Mirror: “It is no secret that the last few months have been difficult for Giovanni.

“The name of his 2025 show will certainly get the rumour mill spinning.”

In January, it emerged that Amanda allegedly told pals that her tense relationship with Giovanni during her time on Strictly had left her with post-traumatic stress disorder.

The Sun revealed that the Sherlock actress had demanded footage of her rehearsals with partner Giovanni and was seeking legal advice.

BBC bosses doubled down in their support of the Italian, despite controversy surrounding his previous pairings.

It comes after previous partners Amanda AbbingtonLaura Whitmore and Ranvir Singh met last week to compare notes about their negative experiences with him.

Former Love Island presenter Laura, 38, previously said she “cried every day” and felt “uncomfortable” while training with Gio when they were paired up in 2016.

Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir, 46, also flagged an issue during training with Giovanni, and said that she was unhappy.

Gio said: “I am a perfectionist, 100 per cent, but it comes from a perspective of caring.

“I think all of the professional dancers are in the same place.”

BBC spokesman said: “The professional dancers for 2024 will be announced in due course.”
