Occasional Digest - a story for you

WITH Easter been and gone, people will likely fall into one of two different categories.

Those who are sick of the sight of chocolate, and those that have been left wanting more.

Well, if you fit more into the latter, then it may just be worth getting yourself down to your local Morrisons because they’ve slashed the prices of their remaining Easter eggs.

However, one lucky shopper named Natasha divided opinion after posting a snap of the THIRTEEN hugely discounted chocolate treats she snapped up during a recent trip to a local supermarket.

Alongside the image posted to money-saving Facebook group Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls, she penned: “Easter egg haul this morning £22.95 for 13 eggs not too bad should have been £59.50 saving over £30.”

Amongst those reduced includes M&Ms, Celebrations, Cadbury Twirl, Kit Kat, Creme Egg, Dairy Milk and Reese’s Peanut buttercups.

But while the bargain hunter was clearly delighted with her reduced-priced chocolate, not everyone was quite so impressed.

Taking to the comments section, one social media user questioned: “Can I ask why?”

Natasha hit back: “I have 6 kids and I work for my money so even if I want to buy 50 Easter eggs after Easter that is my choice.”

A second assumed: “Are they for a charity?”

A third meanly commented: “Mug.”

In response, Natasha hit back: “No mugs just chocolate.”

Which chocolate bars have been discontinued in the UK?

Elsewhere, others took a rather different perspective and were quick to praise Natasha on her total steal.

“Why does someone always have to comment are they for charity?” one person questioned.

“Jesus people are allowed to spend their own earned money on something for themselves.”

Another noted: “I love chocolate eggs. I never buy one.

“When Asda had them 4 for a tenner I kept eating and replacing them. Who were they for you ask? Me.”

A further who was eager to nab one for themselves asked: “What shop was these in please? Well done on your reductions.”

And one more added: “I hope I can find the Ferrero Rocher one reduced. Omg I enjoyed that egg yesterday!”
