MailOnline reported how the pair “couldn’t keep their hands off each other” at Essex celeb-hotspot Sheesh – while her ex’s group, The Arg Band, were playing at the same venue.
Lydia and Arg split in 2016 after an explosive row on the beach – yet rekindled their romance with a romp in Marbella before calling time on their love for good.
Their on-off relationship was well-documented on TOWIE, with Lydia first dating Arg when she was a teen.
They were an item between 2002 and 2012, then giving things a final chance between 2015 and 2016.
Now a source told the publication of her new romance and said: “Lydia couldn’t keep her hands off Ben… and she certainly didn’t seem to mind that her ex was just a few feet away.
“They were passionately kissing right in front of where James was performing with The Arg Band, which didn’t go unnoticed by other guests at the event.
“Lydia and James have been close friends for years and are comfortable with the fact they have both moved on in life, although it can still be awkward to see your ex with someone new.
“It’s taken Lydia years to go public with a partner… it was clear from how affectionate they were together that their relationship is serious.”
Images showed Lydia wearing a white shirt with her man’s arm wrapped around her.
He donned a short-sleeve top which flashed his tattoos as they listened to the live music.
Lydia’s former partner’s band plays once-weekly at the eatery.
She also introduced him to her celeb pals including Love Island’s Georgia Harrison and co-star Dan Edgar.
Meanwhile, back in March, Lydia’s Barcelona getaway initially sparked romance rumours.
She captured a snap showing two glasses of wine in the bedroom which got fans talking.
Lydia is mum to Loretta, aged four, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Lee Cronin.
