A TikTok channel has shared with its viewers the best four used cars that motorists can buy on a budget.
Honda Civic
The first pick was a Honda Civic, however, the car expert warned drivers not to purchase one which has been customised or heavily modified.
These motors are available on Autotrader for as little as £2,500 for a 2009 plate, with a 2012 plate costing around £8,400.
In the video, the expert recommends searching for 2005 to 2009 plates, for the cheapest options.
He added that drivers should expect to see a lot of mileage on these cars and urged them to check the motors thoroughly before buying them.
Toyota Corolla
The car and mechanic expert then chose a Toyota Corolla as his third best-used motor available on the market for under £8,000.
These models were praised highly among car fans as reliable motors and it was ranked 38th out of 75 cars in the Auto Express 2022 Driver Power survey.
It also received a rating of 4.5 out of 5 for overall reliability and safety, according to Whocanfixmycar.
Similar to the Honda Civic, drivers should aim to purchase 2005 to 2010 models to get the best price.
A Toyota Corolla 2006 plate is available on Autotrader for just £2,500, well below the £8,000 budget.
Honda Accord
To get the most out of a Honda Accord, drivers need to buy the model with four cylinders.
“As long as it is a four-cylinder Honda Accord, 2005 -2010is,” the car expert explained.
He added: “Great cars.”
On Autotrader, four-cylinder Honda Accords are an offer from as little as £2,000 for a 2004 plate.
For those looking for a more modern model drivers can purchase a 2007 plate for around £4,500 or a 2011 plate for £5,295.
Toyota Camry/Avalon
The car expert’s top pick was either a Toyota Camry or Avalon.
Similar to the other picks, he urged drivers to go for 2005 to 2010 plates and even suggested 2004 makes to make the most of your budget.
There’s a 2005 Toyota Camry on offer for £6,500 on Motors.
The Toyota Camry has a reputation for being among the most reliable cars on the market.
These vehicles often pass the 200,000-mile mark without needing any major maintenance.
It comes after another car expert revealed five motors drivers can buy for £10,000 or under that are all set to go up in value.
And the top ten most reliable used cars were revealed and they’re all under £10K and cheap to run.
