Manager Philippe Clement is “totally confident” a “solution” can be reached with Rangers midfielder John Lundstram over a new contract.
The Englishman, 30, is in the final few months of his current deal.
Lundstram has made 144 appearances since moving to Ibrox in 2021 and scored the last time Rangers played Saturday’s opponents, Hibernian.
“I’m totally confident about,” Clement said when asked about the experienced midfielder.
“There’s a lot of love on both sides so then there will be a solution one moment.”
Kieran Dowell, Ross McCausland, Abdallah Sima and Dujon Sterling are in contention to return against Hibs, who Rangers beat at Easter Road in the Scottish Cup earlier this month and now host in the Premiership.
The quartet have had injuries of varying length and are not yet ready for 90 minutes. Left-back Ridvan Yilmaz picked up a knock on international duty with Turkey so misses out, but has an outside chance of facing Celtic next weekend.
Rangers beat Hibs 4-0 at Ibrox in Clement’s first game in charge in October.
“It’s a good footballing team,” said the Belgian. “It’s a team who creates always a lot of chances, scores also a lot of goals, I think the third most in the league.
“They’re really hungry to beat us. I feel it every time more that we play against each other, that the hunger and the desire gets bigger.
“We need to see a very good Rangers team.”
