In honour of Stand Up to Cancer, the TV star, along Yinka Bokinni, Rhod Gilbert, and Danny Dyer donned their aprons to compete for the star baker title.
Great British Bake Off judges Dame Prue and Paul have seen some bizarre creations in the famous tent, but this one really takes the cake.
On the latest episode of Celebrity Bake Off, the four celeb contestants pulled out all the stops, but the Celebrity Juice star emerged victorious thanks to his recreation of the ‘most disgusting’ thing Dame Prue has ever set eyes on.
During the showstopper round, Leigh, Yinka, Rhod and Danny were tasked with baking “something you would only tell your therapist.”
The requirements were that the cake had to have two layers of sponge, was sandwiched with butter cream or jam, and decorated in an amusing way.

The celebs were given three hours to get to work, and Leigh – who confessed he was ‘nervous’- decided to wow the judges with a very gory creation.
When asked about the inspiration behind his cake, Leigh confessed to Dame Prue, Paul, Alison Hammond, and Noel Fielding: “I went snowboarding, and I knocked off my toenail.
“My shoe felt like it was filled with water, but it was blood.”
He added: “It was like a horror film.”
“The toenail came off, and then it grew back all wrong, so I had my matrix taken off. That’s what it’s called, where it grows from, the matrix.
“It didn’t grow back right, so I’ve got a sausage toe.”
Leigh’s recreation of the horror incident in cake form included a chocolate sponge covered in cocoa buttercream decorated with fondant icing, which he airbrushed to create a skin-like texture.
When the TV personality presented the cake to the judges, they were gobsmacked at how human-like the creation looked as It oozed with blood, with a fake nail hanging off.
Addressing Leigh with half a compliment, Dame Prue said: “It is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen.”
“The reason is because it’s so real,” Paul added, as Dame Prue praised: “That is unbelievable. It looks so good.”
After tasting the cake, the 84-year-old restaurateur hailed it as ‘delicious’ despite flinching when Paul first cut into it.
As he judged the creation, Paul commented: “The layers are beautifully equal as well, but the killer thing is the design. That is fantastic.”
Leigh revealed to the judges that this was ‘the first cake’ he had ever made in his life, and he was far from confident about presenting it.
The 50-year-old admitted, “I’ve never made a cake in my life,” to which Dame Prue replied, “I think you should stop here.”
She added: “I don’t think you’ll ever beat that.”
Celebrity Bake Off fans, who were equally impressed by the freaky creation, took to social media and reacted to Leigh’s impressively disgusting cake.
Taking to X(formerly Twitter), one viewer penned: “That foot is incredible! Gruesome but incredible!”
Another user hailed it as ‘genius’ but acknowledged it was “disgusting”.
“Tremendous foot cake”, wrote a third, while someone else said it was “scarily realistic”.
Elsewhere on Celeb Bake Off, Rhod Gilbert moved viewers to tears as he appeared on the Channel 4 cooking show to raise money to fight cancer – after battling it himself.
In emotional scenes, Rhod, 55, admitted he was ‘lucky to be here’ as he fought back tears following his stint in the tent.
The Great British Bake Off is available to stream on Channel 4.
