Well, one woman has revealed her name pain on Reddit, leaving many totally gobsmacked.

Posting on NameNerdCirclejerk, the user explained that she had been thinking about a moniker for her child for months, and finally found a name that both she and her partner liked.

However, after a quick Google, the couple noticed that their chosen name – Alexis Texas – was also the name belonging to a famous pornstar, putting the pair in a bit of predicament.

Opening up about the name dilemma, the social media user penned: “Just found out our baby name = same name as a pornstar.”

The mum-to-be then explained: “After thinking about the right baby name for months, we finally found a name we both love, Alexis Texas.

“Then I happened to Google the name. BOOM. Only porn sites came up, as this seems to be some pornstar’s name.”

The pregnant woman then asked: “Should we go back to the drawing board and find a new middle name for Alexis?”

The expectant mother also added: “We were thinking about Alexis Texarkana, but it’s a bit too long and sounds a bit too much like a poem if you know what I mean.

“I myself don’t mind it being the same name as a pornstar, but I don’t want my child to get bullied and embarrassed if they will be Googling names at school in future

“And of course most people don’t know this is a ‘pornstar name’ but if someone were to Google her name it would come up.

‘I hope this is a joke’ people say as healthcare worker reveals the strangest names & says the last should be illegal

“I am trying to figure out how much I should care about this. What would you think?

“I’m in my pregnancy hormones and really heartbroken about haha and mad that porn even exists now.”

REDDIT USERS LEFT GOBSMACKED

Reddit users were left totally stunned by the woman’s chosen baby name and many advise her to ‘change it’.

Not only this, but others suggested that her child would be ‘bullied’ for the ‘dumb a**’ moniker.

Your kid is going to get bullied for their name

Reddit user

One person said: “Definitely change that, that name lives on forever.”

Another added: “Even if it wasn’t a pornstar name, I promise you your kid will be ruthlessly bullied for that. Incredibly ridiculous name.”

A third commented: “Don’t children today have enough problems without their parents giving them some dumb a** name?

“So you’ve chosen to be cutesy with a name and found out it also belongs to a pornstar. The lack of intellect is massive.

I really hope this is a joke

Reddit user

“If this is the only name you can come up with, I really feel sorry for the child.

“It’s really sad when as a soon to be parent you lack the integrity to give your child a name that isn’t going to end up being the butt of jokes and or downright mental cruelty for the poor child.”

Not only this, but another Reddit user claimed: “I really hope this is a joke…Your kid is going to get bullied for their name.

“If I were your kid, I’d hate you even in gestation. If you name your kid with anything Texas related, I hope that kid keeps you up every night for the next three years.”

Meanwhile, someone else simply penned: “It definitely sounds like a porn name.”

After the flood of shaming comments, the anonymous woman then wrote: “Thank you for your suggestions but we are not going to change the name Alexis.

“Only the middle name to another Tex name.”
