Occasional Digest - a story for you

AMAZON launched a massive Spring Sale last week and one of the best deals I’ve seen is on a half-price robot vacuum cleaner.

Shoppers have been dashing to pick up the Lefant M210P Robot Vacuum for £99.99, down from £199.98.

During Amazon’s five-day Spring Deal Days event we’ve seen literally thousands of products with their prices slashed.

I spotted this massive 50% discount while scrolling through the Amazon best-selling robot vacuums page: it’s currently the fourth-most popular item.

A quick disclaimer: I’ve not tested the Lefant M210P myself, but it’s garnered a ton of positive reviews from shoppers.

It also comes with an impressive-looking list of features for that super-low sale price.

Make no mistake: this is an unapologetically budget-end appliance, and it doesn’t come with some features you’ll find in pricier robo vacs (you will need to buy the mop attachment separately, for example).

You could easily spend several hundred quid on one of these little contraptions.

By contrast, the Lefant M210P looks like the perfect candidate for shoppers who want some extra assistance with their handheld vacuum – and, crucially, want to keep their spend to a minimum.

This appliance has four different cleaning modes: automatic, planning, fixed point, and edge.

You can get it to methodically clean a floor in a zig-zagging direction, or focus in on a difficult area in a spiral formation.

It can climb heights of 12mm – think heavy carpets – and is armed with anti-collision sensors to prevent it knocking into furniture.

It measures a svelte 7.8cm in height, meaning it will go underneath armchairs and couches to sort out all that gathered dust and fluff.

(Honestly, I’ve tested robot vacuums before and I’d argue this alone makes them worth the purchase.)

It’s really from the Lefant smartphone app that you can really get this robot vacuum to shine – you can schedule it to run while you’re out. You can even operate it via Alexa voice control.

The M210P has racked up an average rating of 4.3 out of 5 on the Amazon website, with lots of praise of from happy shoppers, with one describing it as a ‘life-changer’.

Another buyer writes: ‘The operating instructions are easy to understand, and I can set the robot working simply by sending it instructions from my phone or tablet. Easy to empty the dust box. An excellent product.’

Another shopper says: ‘It’s an intelligent and versatile home cleaning equipment robot. Sleek design and affordable price.

Battery life is very good. allowing it to clean for more than an hour in single charge. When cleaning is all done or the battery runs low, it will automatically return to its charging dock.’

Amazon’s sale runs until midnight on Monday (25th March), but it’s not guaranteed that this deal will run until then – or that stock will last.

My advice, if you’re thinking about picking up this budget robo vac, is to act quickly.
