PRINCE Archie’s christening snap was “digitally enhanced”, it is understood – after a picture agency withdrew another royal photo.

The official portrait was released after Archie’s christening in July 2019.

The pic shows baby Archie with royals including Meghan, Prince Harry, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate.

Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland and Princess Diana’s sisters also posed for the group photo.

Global picture agency Getty said the photo by snapper Chris Allerton had been “digitally enhanced at source”.

But last night Allerton told the Mail: “‘Load of cobblers. Bye.”

The Sussexes and Getty have been contacted for comment.

It comes after a number of international news agencies issued a “kill” notice for Princess Kate’s Mother’s Day portrait.

Kate apologised for the “confusion” – admitting she does “occasionally experiment with editing”.

Getty said a snap which Kate took of the late Queen with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was also “digitally enhanced”.

The agency gave the August 2022 snap the same editor’s note in its caption as Archie’s christening photo.

The caption reads: “Image has been digitally enhanced at source.”

Kate’s snap was released on April 21 last year to mark what would have been the Queen’s 97th birthday.

A Getty spokesman said: “Getty Images is undertaking a review of handout images.

“In accordance with its editorial policy it is placing an editor’s note on images where the source has suggested they could be digitally enhanced.”

The agency previously claimed a photograph of the late Queen Elizabeth surrounded by young members of the Royal Family was edited.

The portrait taken, by the Princess of Wales at Balmoral in August 2022, shows Her Majesty posing with ten of her 12 grandkids.

All appear happy and smiley in the snap, taken just weeks before The Queen died at the Aberdeenshire estate.

The photo was captured by Kate during a family trip to Balmoral in the summer of 2022.

But there are a number of inconsistencies, including what looks like a superimposed head-shot of Prince Louis.

DIGITALLY ENHANCED

Mismatched pattern on the Queen’s tartan skirt and cloned sofa buttons are among at least seven alterations.

In a statement, Getty Images said the snap had been “digitally enhanced at source”, The Telegraph reported.

In the photo are: Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, James, Earl of Wessex, Lena Tindall, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Isla Phillips, Prince Louis, Mia Tindall, Lucas Tindall and Savannah Phillips.

Other irregularities include a black section behind Prince George’s head, cut up cables on the carpet, as well as blurred and inconsistent sections of the sofa.

Tonight a dad who filmed Kate shopping with William has told conspiracy theorist trolls: “What more do you need to lay off her?”

Nelson Silva, 40, saw Kate “with my own eyes” looking relaxed in Windsor.

Nelson says his meat-section encounter with the Princess of Wales should end wild rumours about her health.

But yesterday trolls were still pushing their bizarre claims — despite The Sun releasing Nelson’s exclusive video of her at Windsor Farm Shop on Saturday lunchtime.

Incredibly, some said it was a Kate lookalike. Others that it was too tall to be her.

They can’t admit they are wrong now because they look so delusional

Another crazy claim was that the footage was taken in December as there are “Christmas decorations” in the background.

In under 24 hours the body-double rumours racked up more than 12million views on X/Twitter, and more than 11million on TikTok.

Engineer Nelson blasted the conspiracy theorists as “delusional”.

Accounts in the US are dedicated to posting about Kate hourly. They often bear X’s blue tick checkmark of “authenticity”, which can be bought to ensure content is more prominent.

One TikToker posting from the US got 2.9 million viewers with her body-double video claims.

Nelson had been shopping for steak when he saw the royal couple.

He said they looked “relaxed and happy”, adding: “I had about 40 minutes to kill and decided to get some produce. I went into the shop and at first I noticed their figures, they were standing near the bread.

“Then I saw Kate turn her head slightly, I was like, ‘Oh I know her’. They went to the meat section and I was stood behind them. They were talking to staff and laughing.

“I couldn’t hear what they were saying, but the staff seemed overwhelmed in a nice way. When I went to pay for my produce, the girl at the counter was so shocked she was hardly breathing.

“Everyone in there was very excited. It was a really nice atmosphere. I went to the car and decided to take a video to share with my family in Portugal.

“I started to record as they (Kate and William) walked towards the car park. They just looked very happy and relaxed together.

“William was obviously protective of Kate and I quickly stopped recording because I didn’t want to make them uncomfortable.

“They walked towards fields at the back. I guess they could get back on to the Windsor estate that way.”

Kate, 42, was last seen on public duty on Christmas Day. She then had planned abdominal surgery at The London Clinic on January 17.

Kensington Palace has always said she would be out of action until April.

It is now believed that she may return in mid-April after her three children’s Easter break.
