A BELLY dancer defended herself against haters who told her to cover up.

She chose to celebrate her body instead of giving in to their negativity.

Arielle (@madisondancelife) shared her body-positive response in a TikTok video.

A commenter named LifeCoachEddy rallied against the fashion choices that showed her midriff as she danced.

“You are overweight and should cover up. Go to the gym and put all your energy there fighting the fat,” he wrote.

Arielle remained unbothered as she threw on a black starry crop and continued to do her thing.

Regardless of what she did, she said the trolls would never be satisfied.

“Why? So you can criticize me there too?” she said sarcastically while shaking her hips and belly.

“Go somewhere dedicated to diet culture, until I feel ashamed of my body, as I rightfully should?

“What you’re really saying is: Stop being visible and go punish myself with exercise. Whatever it is, I shouldn’t enjoy it or be seen enjoying it. You sound like a dookie life coach, Eddy.

People say my tummy ‘doesn’t need to be on display’ at the gym – I’ll never be ashamed of my body, I do ‘belly out’ laps

“May my fat joy burn into your retinas and my joyous jiggles live rent-free forever!”

Many of her viewers backed her up, including one with belly dancing history knowledge.

“A lot of people don’t know, but traditionally, belly dancers had more of a ‘belly’. So you keep doing what you love,” they said.

Some didn’t think the troll’s comment was worth her time.

“I mean… look at your epic timing, control, and strength. Don’t even give haters your beautiful energy!” said one commenter.

“These men have no idea the absolute control and strength you have to develop to dance. It’s harder than the gym,” said another.
