Katie (@thislilshorty) shared the hair fail in a TikTok video.

“I may have bleached my hair a little too much,” she said.

As a friend rinsed water over her bleached blonde roots, it evaporated off her locks nearly instantly.

“Goodbye long hair,” Katie sighed.

“Congrats your hair has surpassed dry and reached hydrophobic status,” said one viewer.

“Omg! Self-drying hair!” said another.

In another video, Katie replied to a commenter who cringed at the sight of her “waterproof” hair.

“As someone with a degree from Cosmetology of TikTok, that’s not good girl,” they said.

Katie showed off a shoebox full of her hair, revealing that she had chopped off strands damaged beyond repair.

“The way my eyes popped out of my socket,” said one shocked viewer.

A third video revealed that Katie still had plenty of hair left, just not as much as she would have liked.

The former brunette now had a blonde shoulder-length cut due to the hair loss.

“Don’t worry. My hair is still connected to my head and looks fab,” she said.

“Don’t use 30 bleach though guys. Might lose 50% of your hair.”
