DRIVERS are raving about a 50p goo and say its even better than windshield wipers at keeping your car rain-free.

Heavy rain and windows fogging up can be dangerous as well as irritating when driving.  

But waiting for your car to defog on a winter morning or squeaky windshield wipers could disappear with this hack. 

Drivers only have to apply a small amount of the Rain-X Anti Fog to a paper towel or dry cotton cloth onto a cleaned window and reviewers claim it will drastically improve your journey. 

Put it on once every ten days and the product “works better than windshield wipers” according to reviewers on Quora.

The product description claims the goo: “repels rain, sleet and snow so it easily runs off the windscreen, allowing for clearer visibility in wet weather” as well as helping “for easier removal of frost, ice, salt, mud and bugs”. 

The product has nearly 5,500 five star reviews on Amazon, with one reviewer writing: “I’ve driven hundreds of miles now without having to use the windscreen wipers once as the rain just beads off the glass.”

Another, ex-mechanic mentioned: “The rain will literally bounce off your windscreen and your visibility is perfect.” 

Customers have even raved about its application on wing mirrors, with one shopper explaining: “Almost immediately there was a difference; raindrops barely stuck even at rest, and at speed they were absolutely clear. No more trouble with wing mirrors.” 

It comes as a car cleaning whizz revealed a 21p hack to stop water clinging to wing mirrors – and the solution will likely be in your cupboard.

Tiktoker Chequanxiaoqiao took to the platform to share several ways the household item can come in handy.
