The ITV soap recently saw Chas Dingle diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer after a lump was found.
After struggling with her diagnosis initially, Chas eventually opened up to her shocked family, before telling her brothers Cain and Caleb – as well as son Aaron – that they should also get checked in case they are carrying the faulty BRCA2 gene.
The gene was the cause of her health woes and it can be passed on to a carrier’s children, so all three men decided to have the test.
Coming up, Cain, Caleb and Aaron prepare themselves to open their results at their respective houses.
Moira’s bursting with relief when Cain tests negative for the faulty BRCA2 gene.
However, Cain feels irrationally guilty about his good luck as he reflects on all Chas has had to deal with, especially following the death of their mother, Faith Dingle, to cancer in 2022.
The Miligan’s are all relieved when Caleb tests negative too which means Nicky is in the clear too.
Meanwhile, in the flat above, Aaron’s grim when he realises that he’s inherited the faulty BRCA2 gene from his mum.
Chas is relieved to hear Cain and Caleb’s results, but later Aaron lies to her and claims that he tested negative for the faulty gene too.
His lie hits even harder when he sees how emotional and relieved his news has made his mum.
The next day, continuing to hide his secret, Aaron forces nonchalance when she expresses relief at the supposed results of his gene test.
Will Aaron come clean?
