The pair, of Farncombe, Surrey, toasted their day in the dining car — at 125mph.

The speeches, wedding breakfast, and champagne toast were held in the dining car while the train was moving.

Mum-of-one Leah said: “Trains have always been a big part of my life.”

Amanda Burns, GWR sales and marketing director, said: “Rail and rail travel is often romanticised, offering a gateway to new adventures, so what better way to embrace this than by actually holding their wedding on board?”

Leah and Vince travelled by train for their first date eight years ago and shared their first kiss while on the journey home.

They decided to get hitched on a GWR service after realising how pivotal it had been to their romance.

The couple are far from the first to have part of their wedding ceremony in an unusual location.

In 2017, two newlywed couples chose to pose for photos whilst dangling from a 320 foot cliff.

The brave couples shunned a traditional wedding venue in favour of scaling the rock faces in the national park of Loudi City, in central China.

The weddings were made yet more special by the couples’ choice of date – opting to tie the knot on Valentine’s Day.
