DISAPPOINTED shoppers have branded a bargain store “cheaper than Primark” as a total flop full of “rotten” stock.

Fashion fans were racing to Brand Max in Glasgow after it went viral on TikTok last month.

Others have hailed the shop as ‘cheaper than Primark’

Many shared their successful hauls on the social media app and compared the shop to TK Maxx and Primark, but with better prices.

But not everybody is a fan of the designer outlet, which has 25 branches across the UK and Ireland – including the one based near Glasgow Fort

After giving it a try for themselves, one shopper claimed it was a “pile of c***” and told bargain hunters they’d be better visiting Morrisons.

Another urged fashion fans “not to waste their time”.

He said: “A lot of the cheap stuff is fast fashion that you’d get cheap anyway on the website which obviously didn’t sell which is why it went there [Brand Max].

“It looks like all the things TK Maxx couldn’t sell went there, it’s like a budget TK Maxx.

“I think it’s just a hype, I wouldn’t waste your time going. Most of the stuff’s rotten in my opinion.”

A third fumed: “It’s basically Sports Direct with some household stuff. Don’t waste your petrol.”

And a fourth chimed in: “Drove over an hour to try [and] get a bargain and hardly anything left, and all small sizes. Was so gutted, must of been too late.”

Brand Max bosses say they offer the “best ranges alongside new designer labels” with reductions of up to 70%.

‘Looks like something from 2000’ Primark fans claim new spring collection is ‘tacky’ and an ‘absolute rip off’

They added: “Brand Max is home for all your favourite designer brands at low low prices.

“We have homeware essentials, outdoor and garden items, designer clothing, health and beauty products.”

And some shoppers have been left far from disappointed after picking up 75p bikinis, £5 heels and clothes under a tenner.

One said: “The place was really, really good. They have home stuff, hair stuff and lots of things.

“It reminds me of TK Maxx to be honest but cheaper. So much things for a fiver. It’s so like TK Maxx but better.

“£5 for these lovely wee see-through heels, I had to buy them.

“Bikini top for 75p, they’ve got French Connection stuff, and £6 for Missguided sets.”

Another wrote: “Girls run, don’t walk to Brand Max at Glasgow Fort.

“All clothes under £10, £5 heels and £3 Playboy Bunny tops.

“It’s a yes from me. There’s so many hidden finds and it’s all so cheap.”

Meanwhile, a third gushed: “Cheaper than Primark, I’ll be going soon.”
