Content creator @rotemzoharrr said in a clip that instead of forking out regularly on rubbish scented hanging trees, just head to your local supermarket and pick up a household staple.

The influencer told how she buys small candles that fit in her car’s cupholder or in the side of her door, to make her motor smell good.

Rotem explained in the video that the candle in particular she was holding had been in her vehicle for the last year – and still smelt so fresh.

She said: “If you want your car to smell absolutely delicious, put a candle in it.

“It melts when it gets hot, the smells go everywhere. My whole car smells like this candle.

“I’ve had this candle for over a year now in my car and it still smells so good.

“Instead of those little things that last like two weeks hanging off your rear view mirror.

“Get one of these [candles]. Oh my god it’s so good. Best life hack I ever came across.”

Thousands rushed to the comments – some praising the idea while others revealed their hacks.

One user said: “No but this is really smart,” while a second agreed: “This is such a good idea.”
