Although many worried that the dress would end up outdoing the bride, she wasn’t worried about it.
Jill (@girlsourage), a boutique owner, showed off the style she picked out for the special occasion.
“For my mothers-of-the-bride, mothers-of-the-groom, I’m back with another try-on,” she said.
She explained that she had received many requests for an appropriate wedding dress that was not super form-fitting and had sleeves.
To accommodate the request, she picked out a $165 glittery floor-length Aidan Mattox piece.
The blush-colored beaded and sequined cape gown boasted a front slit and a plunging V-neck line.
“This has a really pretty cape sleeve. It’s champagne underneath and then it’s very glittery and sparkly,” she said.
“It’s got pearls and sequins, it’s just a really pretty color combination.”
On top of the neutral color scheme, she raved about how comfortable the dress was.
She could even wear a proper bra underneath the dress without worrying about anything showing.
Although many adored the dress, some were worried about it being too flashy.
“This is amazing but will you upstage the bride in this?” asked one commenter.
Jill dismissed the concern immediately.
“Not a chance,” she said.
“Stunning! But don’t outshine the bride!” said another.
“Not possible!” Jill replied.
Despite the response, many continued to voice their concerns.
“I think this competes with the bride. Too much. Though she does look nice in it,” said one viewer.
“Looks too much like white,” agreed another.
