Lauren (@loverboards) shared how she saved money while building the board in a TikTok video.

“Cheese boards do not have to be expensive and this year, I heard we are loud budgeting so I’m going to show you how to make this cheese board for only $20 at Aldi,” she said.

On a trip to the grocery chain, she picked up goat cheese, cheddar, parmesan, brie, prosciutto, pita crackers, dark sea salt chocolate, apples, and raspberries.

After checking out, she revealed that her total for all the ingredients came out to just $20.34.

Back at home, she diced up the cheeses in cubes and began assembling her board, stacking and layering the various cheeses.

With the prosciutto, she rolled up the meat into flowers and artfully sandwiched pieces between cheeses.

She filled out the last bits of space on the board with crackers, chocolate, and fruit.

The charcuterie expert has experience making boards worth thousands, including one where she charged her customers $1,100 for a full table spread.

To fill an entire L-shaped table with an aesthetically pleasing but delicious snack board to feed around 80 people, she spent 55 times assembling the large cheese treat.

People were impressed with her creative and budget-friendly ideas.

“I spent close to $500 on meat and cheese for a party of 12 and it did not even look like 10% of this gorgeous display!” said one commenter.

Others encouraged her to raise the prices for her services.

“This seems highly underpriced for just the food. Then tack on the beauty of that layout!” said one viewer.

“I need a cost breakdown because you should’ve charged way more,” said another.
