Liz (@foxcraftcustom) shared the beauty tip in a TikTok video.

Eight years ago, she had attended a festival with a friend whose red lips’ longevity shocked her.

“I remember on the second day waking up, I looked like a struggle bus and she came out in the most beautiful red lipstick,” she said.

“I remember thinking to myself like damn, that is brave. I would never trust my lipstick to last that long.”

Much to her surprise, however, her friend’s lipstick passed the test with flying colors.

“Sure enough, 12 hours later, it looked perfect,” she said.

“The secret is this: Do your routine, whatever it is. I like to line smudge and then use lipstick.”

Liz lined her lips with a bright red lip liner and then applied a layer of lipstick over.

Once she was done, she blotted her lips with a tissue.

“Don’t rub, just keep blotting!” she advised.

“Blot until nothing is transferring to the napkin anymore.”

Once that was done, she coated her lips in a layer of powder.

“It’s going to feel dry, it’s set in there, and then just do your process again,” she said.

With the powder settled into her lips, she reapplied her lipliner and her lipstick again.

“I’ve tried this with LOTS of lipsticks over the years and it ALWAYS helps,” she said.

She added that she applied her lipstick at 8 AM and it lasted her ten hours.
