Next week, her character Whitney Dean’s time in Milton Keynes will seen by viewers for the very first time as Patsy Palmer makes her return.
Whitney and Zack, played by James Farrar, left Walford back in January to visit Bianca (Patsy Palmer) following their unexpected pregnancy, but viewers will soon discover that their stay has been far from smooth-sailing.
After growing concerned for the wellbeing of a child on Bianca’s estate, Whitney quickly finds herself embroiled in drama after she learns that Britney has not attended school since 2020.
The girl is therefore considered a ‘Ghost Child’ by her absence from the education system.
The special episodes will cover five weeks’ worth of storyline as the BBC soap follows Whitney in her attempt to intervene in Britney’s troublesome situation.
It’s not long before things escalate after a showdown with Britney’s mother causes the young girl to flee.
Lola Campbell, child actress who rose to fame in 2023 following her debut role in BAFTA-nominated film, Scrapper, joins the cast of EastEnders to take on the role of Britney.
Speaking on the storyline, Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer said: “We’re thrilled to welcome the immensely talented Lola Campbell to the cast of EastEnders as she takes on the role of Britney.
“The special episodes, which coincide with Patsy Palmer’s return, will showcase five weeks’ worth of storyline as we follow Whitney and Zack during their time in Milton Keynes, but it’s not long before the pair are thrust into the heart of the drama after Whitney grows concerned for Britney’s wellbeing.”
Patsy Palmer is reprising her role as Bianca Jackson – who she has played on and off since 1993.
It’s been over four years since she last appeared on EastEnders, but Bianca is on her way back to our screens for a short stint this spring.
On returning to EastEnders, Patsy said: “I’m so excited to be reprising the role of Bianca. EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart so it’s always a pleasure to be back.”
