Fans had claimed Jess was ignored during her final interview as Maya Jama tried to get the tea on Molly and Callum‘s bizarre reunion on the ITV2 show.
Jess refused to speak as Maya quizzed the foursome on the unusual result that saw two long-term exes reach the final of the first All Stars series.
She said: “Obviously when I first heard I was very shocked by it.
“And I thought was there anything I was overlooking? I didn’t want to be naive.
“I was scared of being percieved as really bad if Callum and Molly were this ‘love story’ and I was standing in the way.
“So yeah I was a bit nervous about the whole thing. But Callum was very reassuring and he put it to bed quickly.
“So it was smooth running after that.”
Callum aslo reassured Jess, as the chatted on The Morning After podcast after the final aired.
“Yeah even after the first week or two we were friends and to be fair I’m glad we kind of got that friendship,” Callum said about Molly.
“I know people maybe have seen past the friendship because they want the fairytale but that sometimes doesn’t happen.
“Life is too short, it takes more energy to be bad with someone to be negative, than it does to get on with life. Life goes on.”
Fans weren’t keen to let go of the idea that former couple Callum and Molly will get back together.
But Molly ended up winning the series with Tom Clare while ex Callum finished in second with Jess.
