Bella (@bellastravling) is an American living in London who is planning a move to Spain.

She shared a valuable piece of travel advice in an old TikTok video about a hair horror story.

“Lesson that I’ve learned in London: the wattage from the outlets is very strong,” the subtitle read.

Throughout most of the 22-second clip, she was crying as held a curling iron in her hand with a piece of her hair burnt on it.

“Guys ask me how London’s going. I’m killing myself. Like, this was my last straw,” she said.

“My hair. Burnt to a crisp. Like what?”

She ended up “putting herself together” by the time she filmed the video but was still distraught.

“I actually don’t even wanna show you because I’m so scared,” she said.

She went into further detail about the situation in the video caption.

“Let’s just say I had a little bit of a mental breakdown before Noah Kahan,” she wrote.

While getting ready to see the singer-songwriter perform, Bella had a hair disaster take place.

She reiterated that it was a big learning lesson and wanted to make others aware.

“I’ve learned that the voltage from these outlets is basically a burn-your-hair-off recipe,” she wrote in the caption.

“Wow, I will make sure I don’t bring hair tools to Greece this summer. I had no idea,” a viewer commented.

“Or invest in a dual-wattage hair tool because this was TRAUMATIZING,” she replied.

She added that she was going to go buy a new curing iron so this won’t happen again.

Some viewers related to her and others couldn’t help but find it funny.

“I’m sorry, but I’ve never heard ‘burnt to a crisp’ used so literally,” a woman joked.

“Girllllll this was me in Spain. Gave myself bangs on one side,” another said.
