Viewers took to X to remark on the mishaps which kick-started during a segment about the late Radio 2 broadcaster Steve Wright, who died this week aged 69.

BBC Breakfast hosts Roger Johnson and Luxmy Gopal, 32, were at the helm of the sensitive segment, which saw them preview an interview with Steve’s former co-host Janey Lee Grace.
As they discussed the Greenwich-born broadcaster’s passing scenes flashed up on screen – yet these depicted ex BBC Radio 1 DJ Simon Bates instead.
As he became aware of the mishap, Roger said: “That’s not Steve Wright by the way in case you were wondering, that’s Simon Bates.”
While the show moved on, fans took to X to flag the blooper, with one joking: “Nice save Roger.”
Another added: “Trailing a #SteveWright tribute with pictures of Simon Bates #useless #bbcbreakfast.”
Yet the errors didn’t stop there.
Later in the episode, eagle-eyed BBC Breakfast fans also noted that Salisbury was spelled incorrectly.
This prompted another to take to social media to write: “@bbcbreakfast #BBCBreakfast are you OK this morning?
“Showing a picture of someone else while talking about Steve Wright. Then spelling Salisbury wrong.”
One then quipped: “Looks like the interns are in charge of the screen labels again. ‘Sailsbury’ #bbcbreakfast.”

Meanwhile, veteran DJ Steve’s passing prompted an outpouring of grief on Tuesday, with a host of famous faces and loyal listeners all paying tribute.
It was later revealed that Steve’s BBC co-stars knew about his health battles – yet his final passing still came as a shock.
It is not currently clear what the radio legend’s health battle was – with his cause of death, as yet, unknown.
Yet his close pals have suggested he died from a broken heart after being dumped from his Radio 2 afternoon show after 24 years.
Meanwhile, Steve was due to be part of BBC Radio’s plans to launch four new stations over the airwaves prior to his death.
