Britain’s Zoe Atkin claimed a third bronze medal at her third World Cup event this season in the freeski halfpipe in Calgary, Canada.

The 21-year-old added to her podium finishes in the American resorts of Copper Mountain and Mammoth Mountain.

US-born Atkin also won a silver medal in the X Games in January.

She scored 88.00 in Calgary, as America’s X Games champion Eileen Gu won gold with 93.25 and Canada’s Amy Fraser secured silver with 89.25.

Atkin doubled her career tally of World Cup podiums this season to move up to third place in the overall standings for the women’s freeski halfpipe, behind leader Gu and Fraser in second.

Former X Games winner Atkin, who attends Stanford University in California with Gu, will be in action again on the Calgary halfpipe on Friday, when qualifying takes place for the second event of a World Cup double-header.

The final is due to take place on Saturday.
