Who are the American Idol judges?
The current roster of American Idol judges includes pop star Katy Perry, country superstar Luke Bryan, and music industry legend Lionel Richie.
Speaking with Parade in 2023, Richie shared that he cannot imagine the show without the three of them at the helm.
“When you get three knuckleheads that have careers solid in their own right, getting a chance to get our egos out of the way, where we just allow the kids to shine, and it’s not about us per se, is the best.
“What I’m loving the most is that I can actually play with this superstar [Luke] and that other superstar [Katy], and we all don’t take it personal, and that’s what makes the element work for the kids. Because the more honest we can be with them and ourselves, they get to see how we really want them to act.”
Katy Perry confirmed that the 22nd season of the show would be her last.
Ryan Seacrest will return to host the new season.
