Brittany (@looks_its_britt) shared the fashion hack in a video with her TikTok followers.
“As a woman, sometimes I want an outfit really bad but the outfit don’t want me,” she said.
“Sometimes my outfit is really working against me. Sometimes the material is not really flattering to my body. Sometimes my body is working against me and I’m bloated.”
Despite the struggle, Brittany persevered with a trick that allowed her to wear what she wanted.
“I go online and I get me some shapewear,” she said, demonstrating what the dress she had on looked like with her new pieces.
She picked up a three-pack of the Pumiey Tummy Control shapewear, $33, that gave her confidence back.
The shapewear snatched her waist in, giving her an hourglass figure.
“This is exactly what I mean. A lot of y’all act like you’re above shapewear, you’re not above shapewear. I don’t care what size you are,” she said.
“Beyoncé wears about six pairs on stage. Six pairs on stage. Why would you be above it when your garment is working against you?
“I love this because it has a full bottom. It’s not irritating me and nothing’s riding up my ‘yaz’ and it has a silicone band so it’s not rolling down”
Many agreed that shapewear was often a game-changer.
